Preparation of your grasshoppers' wok
To realise this wonderful edible insects recipe, you'll need 20 minutes of preparation, 15 minutes of heating. After that, it's a lifetime memory of deliciousness with your crispy grasshoppers!
Ingredients and kitchen tools (for 4 persons):
- 1 Wok (or 1 big span)
- 4 carrots
- 20 cl of water
- ½ bunch of radishes
- 2 zucchinis
- 2 red bell peppers
- 12 raw gambas
- 2 cl of olive oil
- 1 box of Original grasshoppers (15 g)
- 6,5 cl of soy sauce
- 10 gr of sesame seeds
- coriander (depending on your taste)
- pepper and salt (depending on your taste)
Follow the recipe, it will be easy!
First of all, start by taking off your edible grasshoppers' wings. You will find a complete guide in our "experience" section.
Once it's done, you can rinse and clean your vegetables.
Then peel the carrots and slice them thinly. Cut the radishes lengthwise in 4 and chisel the coriander.
Cut the extremities of the zucchinis and cut them is small sticks.
For the bell peppers, cut them in half and get rid off the seeds. Slice them thinly.
Shell the gambas by splitting the back.
It's time for the cooking time! Drizzle some olive oil in your wok and cook the gambas for a few minutes until they are well cooked. (Check the pinky colour).
In order to let the grasshoppers take the gambas flavour, add them in the wok and let them heat a few minutes. Pour everything on a plate and reserve.
In the same wok, cook first the bell peppers at high temperature, add the Dans le même wok, faites d’abord cuire les poivrons à feu vif, et salez à votre convenance. Laissez cuire pendant 2 min.
Next add the carrots, then the water. Stew for 3 minutes. Then put the radishes and cook again for 1 minute.
For ending, add the zucchinis, salt and pepper, cook at high temperature for 2 minutes.
Once heating is done, pour the soy sauce and spread the coriander and sesame seeds on your dish. Your insect recipe is finally ready!

If you want a 100% edible insect recipe, you can replace the gambas with grasshoppers in foamed butter.
